Have actually only used it once but pleased with the result. Now have to work on ideal amount of dough and test it out in a steam oven using both halves separately

Great to be able to bake oval loaves contained in a cast iron container. Worked well, looks great!
I didn’t notice that the interior was raw cast iron. Assumed it had a porcelain finish inside. Good for bread I guess but nothing else.
Thanks for your feedback. The interior is finished with black matte enamel, not bare cast iron, so it doesn’t require seasoning.
It can also be used for loaf cakes, meatloaf and other sweet or savoury bakes, not just bread. We’ll make this clearer on the product page.
This baker sent to a daughter and another I sent last week to her sister are performing well! The first baker was used immediately, produced a beautiful loaf of Sourdough bread which traveled with her to give to her daughter in WA! Her sister, used the same baker and produced a Delicious Loaf. I had a slice and yes, crunchy crust, soft, lovely texture inside. Yum!! I immediately bought a second baker for her which arrived today. Your bakers are excellent and I am glad I bought one for both of my daughters. A+

So far all good - have used it once to make a sourdough loaf. Albeit I didn't read the measurements, it is certainly longer than I expected it to be for a loaf tin. It did however work ok for a 500g sourdough loaf. But not a "normal" loaf length.

Purchased two in different sizes because I couldn't decide on colour, and they are perfection. Love cooking this way, Cooktown to over and back again... straight to table... serve... lid back on with any left overs, into the fridge. Bang on, thanks team!
It’s great except I really wanted it in white to match my other cast iron but it wasn’t available.
